The question of whether gambling will ever become legal in the US, remains unanswered. The attitudes most governments tend to have when it comes to online gambling vary. It was on March 19, 1931, that the state of Nevada began to legalize casino gambling. The move was implemented in a drive to introduce a whole new world of entertainment and fun, to the citizens of Nevada.

In order to understand why gambling has been legalized in the state of Nevada, one needs to go way back in time to the moment when the casino gambling scene was the main source of generating revenue for the city of Nevada. Waves of foreign immigrants flocked into the bars and small clubs to get a thrilling taste of the various casino games, the casino operators had to offer. With the incoming surges of foreigners into the city of Nevada, came the need for the construction of more hotels, resorts, restaurants, eating places and high scale shopping areas in the city we now refer to as the Silver State.

In an attempt to increase revenue for the state of Nevada, a gentleman by the name of Mayme Stocker was issued with the license of opening a gambling club by the name of Northern Club, in an area which is commonly known among gamblers today as Downtown Las Vegas.
