How to play roulette
The roulette wheel is marked by numbers from 1 – 36 with an additional digit of zero. These numbers on the wheel are alternately colored red and black. The only number which is green is the zero. The whole roulette wheel is divided into different sections- individual numbers and group bets. The bets made on individual numbers or small groups or adjacent numbers are known as ‘inside bets’. At the same time, bets made on the layout covering 12 or 18 digits (red or odd) are known as ‘outside bets’.
Some important terms of the inside bets for a roulette wheel are given below:
Straight up: Any bet which is placed directly on any single number including ‘0” is known as straight up.
Split Bet: The split bet is the bet placed on the line between any two adjacent numbers. It can also be made between 0 and 1. It can also be placed between 0 and 2 or 2 and 3.
Street bet: It is a bet which is placed on all the three numbers in a row but at the end of the row.
Outside bets for a roulette wheel
Column bet: A bet placed on an entire column specially placed on the 2-1 box at the end of the column.
Dozen Bet: A bet which is placed on a group of 12 numbers, placed on the first 12 numbers (1-12), 2nd 12 box (number 13 -24) or the third 12 box number from (25-36).
The above given bets are the most common and important ones. There are more bets too. |
